Your Wicca Altar is your dedicated space for performing spells, rituals and actions for specific intent that you choose for obtaining desired results.
This is where you light candles and incense, invoke the chosen Gods & Goddesses, mix herbs & potions, meditate, see and feel your magick. For this is where it begins, happens and sometimes ends.
Make your Altar your own! You can decorate it with things you use for spell casting, and you can decorate it with personal items that have special meaning to you! What works for me, may not work for you.
I myself, have on my altar something personal that makes me feel good about life in general. Whether it be a small ceramic animal given to you by someone close to you, or a special souvenir you may have picked up in another country that has warm memories, it is all good to have this kind of portrayal of your self along with what ever other tools of the craft you choose to use on your altar!
If it feels good, do it, have it, enjoy it–as long as it harms none, then all is well!
This is where you open and close circles and this is where you empower your Will. This is where you conjure. This where you go for help!
Respect your Altar and keep it clean. Re-arrange items on it that are kept there regularly, or occasionally add to it, as this keeps Your vibrations flowing there.
If you have no space available to dedicate for an Altar, that is allright, as any table top will do. You can place a clean cloth over that area before using or placing your ingredients upon it.
If you have a place to sit outside, even better. Anywhere you will not be interrupted.
Remember, it is your empowerment that creates your Wicca Altar!
