Since the beginning of time, the admiration of Crystals & Gems has been around. Scientists will tell you that crystals DO HAVE vibrations which can be measured! Many ancient cultures believed that various crystals contained very powerful qualities. I have no doubts about this! You will find that many books about Wicca, provide many various descriptions of all the qualities or beliefs about what Crystals and Gems can do for you. This list is always growing as there is much to learn.
For example, Rubies and Rose quartz are good to use for Love Spells! Some are for Healing and Health, some are for relaxation and Meditation. Crystals & Gems are used for just about anything positive you like to enhance your life or the life of someone else.
There are many Crystals & Gems that I have not listed here, but below I have listed the ones that I use most often. It would take a Book to list them all! Please find the ones that work best for you, as many other Gems and crystals are useful in Wicca!
They come in a vast array of colors, which is much of the power that effects our very being! For color can make us happy, sad, energetic or relaxed and calm. Color can be soothing or down right exciting!
When shopping for Crystals & Gems, be sure and allow the Gem to choose you, not the opposite. When it chooses you, you will know it. Just pick it up in your hand and see what you feel. Does it feel good? Is it easy to put down? If it is easy to put down, then try another one. When the right one is in your hand, you will know it!
Remember to Charge your new Crystals & Gems! Keeping your crystals and Gems cleansed and charged is very important. I have included a spell or chant with instructions for charging. See: Wicca Free Spells
CLEAR QUARTZ– Good for psychic development, meditation. Its also stimulating and Healthful. I include it with All spell work!
AMETHYST– A stone of mental clarity and protection. Keeps you sharp while performing business transactions.
AQUAMARINE– This Gem is Good for tranquility, peace and health. Can be used to soothe a broken heart.
AVENTURINE– A stone of eyesight health, clarity and mental strength.
BLOODSTONE– A stone of longevity, healing. Used to clean the blood. Was once thought to stop bleeding. Works well with any ailments relating to blood.
CARNELIAN– These Gems are Stimulating, provides wellness. Has been known to aid in sexual function. Good for all health problems.
CORAL– Use Coral for protection, healing and good luck. Is said to be sacred to the Sea Goddess.
EMERALD– Beautiful bright green! Enjoy for successful love, Money spells and harmony.
FLUORITE– One of my favorite Crystals, I use light green Gems for female health and dark purple crystals for psychic clarity and spells which seek to bring strong change.
GARNET– Brings faithful love, rids depression and provides magickal strength for spells. (especially love spells)
HEMATITE–Best stone for grounding. Aids in memory and sleep problems. Provides clarity.
JADE– Money, Luck, happiness, even more powerful when received as a gift!
JASPER– Use it for financial success, good luck & protection.
LAPIS LAZULI– This Blue Crystal adds Harmony, wisdom, mental health.
LODESTONE– Its magnetic qualities are good for drawing anything to you, Love, money, good health etc. (I always include it in prosperity spells) its actually more of an alloy than a gem!
MALACHITE– Good for ridding stress. Use for Love spells and emotional well being.
MOONSTONE– Good for psychic abilities, magick, female problems. It is sacred to all Moon Goddesses.
OBSIDIAN–Good for grounding. It is said to be a stone of truth. A shiny ball of Obsidian is excellent for scrying! Made from volcanic glass.
ONYX– Use for protection and for emotional stability. This stone is said to show you yourself. Helps with our psychic connection.
OPAL– Provides clarity & inner beauty. Also provides inner vision and balance. *See above.
ROSE QUARTZ– Stone of Love, Emotional well being, and is said to heal hearts.
RUBY– For Love, happiness and healing hearts. Can strengthen your immune system.
SAPPHIRE– A very magickal powerful Gem. Brings prosperity, love and understanding. A completely protective stone.
TOPAZ–It is said to be very protective and good for depression.Can bring love.
TURQUOISE–To manifest, to provide courage, healing, cheer and luck.
