Wicca New Year’s Spell 1-1-11…
I have prepared a New Years’ Spell for beginning 2011, or actually “ending 2010” The moon will be waning, and I feel that a banishing spell is in order! The Moon will also be void of course until about 1:41am EST on New Years morning…anyone notice anything unique about the date?.. 1-1-11?
If you’re on Pacific Standard time, I would plan on going big right at Midnight!
In numerology the number 11 is believed to be on a higher frequency, and carries a higher vibration than it’s even counterpart 2 (1+1+2). It is one of three master numbers – 33, 22, & 11. It is also believed that the Mayan Calendar depicts the end of the world, at the end of 2011 during the winter solstice at 11:11am.
The number 11, is said to be an extremely spiritual and mystic number. It is also supposed to be especially good for new beginnings. But since the moon will be waning on this date, I will banish everything negative to make room for the new beginnings that come of the New Year.
Although we, as Wiccans celebrate the New Year in different ways, we still reside in a civilization that does traditionally, and I see no harm in taking advantage of a good situation. The energy that stirs inside us when certain landmarks of time take place, is not a bad thing. Energy is energy, and I say use it to it’s best ability!
